AP100C not recognized by UTM 9.705

I had one AP100C that has been working fine for years. A week ago, the UTM couldn't connect to the AP100C, and reported it as INACTIVE. I moved it to my desk, so that I can check and play with it. Nothing works: the status light goes green, then black out, then slowly blink for a short time period, and then it turns orange (or red), and then it's 5 fast green blinks and one red; and after a while, it will reboot (I guess, cause it goes back to the first stady green, and so on).

I contacted Sophos support, they were online with me for more than an hour, and finally decide to send me replacement unit.

However, when I get the replacement today, and connect it (on my desk with switch and PoE injector), it's exactly the same as the old one. And when I bring out the old one, it can actually connect successfully three times this afternoon; while the new one was never able to be recognized by the UTM.

I can't believe that the new replacement was faulty: there must be something wrong, some where else.

Anyone has an idea what the status pattern means? What else I can try?

    If you opened any case with Support to get investigated also let me know.
