Memory Usages Spikes, causing connectivity issues

Hi there, I'm trying to pin down why our XG85 has for the last week been having some serious issues.
Shall, run down what has been happening and go from there..

Last week (Wed 13th April) we started having an intermittent connection across our network. Nothing had been changed within the XG85 other than assigning a couple more static IPs. Since then we have had a constant up and down of connectivity. We have had our main router switched out, cables checked, our ISP has been testing. And it does not appear to be due to this.

By performing a hard reset (via the hole in the back of the box), this resolved the issue, however this is of course not ideal and eventually we end up with the same thing happening again.

Having done some digging around I have noticed that the memory usage of the box spikes up immensely when this issue occurs.

What could be causing this?

  • Hi Richard,

Looking at  the graphs you posted, I am curious to know how many concurrent Live User do you have connected through XG? As the Live User graph shows high utilization and this can be the root cause.

    Awaiting response.

    Thanks
