  • Hi Antosh,

    Greetings.

I believe Data Anonymization is enabled in your XG Firewall. In Cyberoam, this feature was known as 4-eye authentication.

Now, what is Data Anonymization ?

For legally compliant logging, reporting and archiving, it is important that an organization follows all the obligations for keeping relevant information archived and accessible all the time. To maintain the security, it is also required to monitor the logs related to user-specific activities. On the other hand, the organization must also not invade its employee’s privacy.

To safeguard the integrity and security of personal activities and the data collected, Sophos Firewall has added Data Anonymization method in addition to the existing password-based authentication mechanism. It offers an added level of control and protection where a single person cannot access activity logs of other employees and have sole decision-making potential. In other words, it enhances the existing security mechanisms by adding an additional administrator, without whose permission access cannot be granted.

Once enabled, Data Anonymization can be used to prevent unauthorized access to private data. To view user specific logs, at least two Authorizer administrators must log in.

You can disable this option, go to Reports > Data Anonymization > Settings and uncheck the checkbox against Enable Data Anonymization, as shown in the image below.

     - The following Authorization screen appears for verification of authorizer’s credentials. Specify Username and Password

    Save the settings :)

This is one of the most unique feature our appliance provide.

    Hope to see you soon.

    Thanks
