SSL inspection and streaming

Hi there,

I've previously enabled "Decrypt & scan HTTPS"  (I guess its the same as ssl inspection?) on my default network rule. It worked fine besides for any streaming (Netflix and so on), so I disabled it again. I've tried to figure out how to make some sort of exceptions in the scan policy so that all traffic in that policy is scanned besides streaming (Netflix, HULU etc.).

Anyone have any clues to how this could be done?

I think the best solution is to disable ssl inspection in streaming due to lagging and speed, but if it could work well with ssl inspection enabled for all services that would be fine also.

  • Hi Tony,

Are you trying to allow Streaming websites without Scanning them through Decrypt & Scan HTTPS ?

If that is correct, you can create an exception for Streaming Media Categories. PFA Screenshot.

    Hope that helps
