Have you tried creating a web policy and placing it on the top firewall rules? Have you also tried creating a custom category?

Also, what does the log viewer indicate?

There is no deny logs on the log viewer. Traffic is allowed. I have a webpolicy for students which is very limited on allowed category under web policy. The allowed categorys are educational institutions and Health and Medicines and Content Delivery.

I hope chatgpt requires additional web category to be added. however due to the restriction in environment we can could blindly allow any category as this will allow access to many resources. Instead we need to know what and URL to be whitelisted for chatgpt page to open properly.

Probably doesn’t like mitm and exceptions do not always work.

How do we allow it now if we have no options.

Hi,

you have to create a firewall rule without using web proxy, but set applications to allow all, I would also set web to allow all and no other settings.

At this stage set it at the top of your rule list with allowed user being your test PC and then connect after ensuring you have logging enabled. The review the logs to see which urls and post are used and work the next step out with the captured information.

Found the solution. chatgpt.com and cdn.oaistatic.com should be allowed in web policy for chat gpt to work properly.
