Sophos Pop-ups all over the firewall

Hi,

As of last months I notice that on most Tabs and with many options Sophos is now showing pop-ups. I see this with VPN settings, NAT rules, Authentiations etc.

Most of these Pop-ups cover information I need, options I want to select and it makes working with the firewalls very annoying. It actually never helps me with anything.

Is there a way to turn this off?

Looking forward,

Niels

  • I rather have it completely turned off

  • So those popup are not helpful for you in this format? Because at that stage you did not have filled anything in.
As said above, you can disable this, but we want to improve the experience going forward.

  • The pop-ups do not add anything at all, especially when you have used an option 2 times its nothing more than clutter.

Ofcourse the intention is good but having this in my face on every option and configuration with essentially useless information only adds to annoyance.

Giving people a choice to enable this would be extremely nice, the rate on which the popups come up is just disturbing by now. I see the same information for months now.

So, to be honest, it is not usefull at all. Much better to add those messages in the Assistant and keep my workspace clear and neat. Then people can choose to look at it, or most likely, not.

  • The point is, we see from telemetry people configure a Ipsec tunnel "once" at leave it. Then after 2 years they revisit or create a new one.
As a Partner / "power user" this is true so you can disable it. But customer actually using it quite frequently. For example NAT or SSLVPN wizard.
