How simulate crashes on HA to validate?

Hi Folks

I've noticed several similar issues with HA Sophos Firewall on some end customers.

We use Active-Passive HA. When primary firewall crashes for some unknown reason (I'll check more information to understand at community.sophos.com/.../finding-the-root-cause-of-crashes -sudden-reboots).

Anyway, when the primary freezes, the equipment remains "alive", but the Auxiliary does not take over, or else it notices the primary freezing and also overloads.

Whenever it happens, we need to restart both firewalls manually on site.

However, on days of "normal" operation, when we simulate a link drop, or physical connection of interfaces with the primary, the Auxiliary understands and assumes operation.

Is there a way to simulate freezing during test activity to evaluate problem behavior before opening a ticket with the Sophos team?
Do you recommend any prior or additional tests to be carried out?

Consider that I've seen the problem occur in at least 5 different scenarios with difference SFOS.

Thank you!

Best Regards,
