upgrade firmware sophos xg 330

but now i have SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1...!

I usually download and install it from the console, it's easier..
I don't know the other method once I download the file from sophos central

Kindly refer to the following KBs.

• Firmware
• Load firmware using SFLoader

so after checking, upgarde path will be:

1- from SFOS 19.0.1 MR-1 to SFOS 19.0 MR-3 build 517

then

2- from SFOS 19.0 MR-3 build 517 to SFOS 19.5 MR-4build 718

3- download these firmware from sophos central  ( the "sig" file)

4- Upload it  and reboot

5-the HA will be upgraded

that's all???

That would be the path to follow; your HA should upgrade automatically once you start the Firmware Upgrade in the Active Sophos Firewall

Additionally, since you are using a Hardware device, I would recommend accessing this link https://download.sophos.com/firmware/HW/index.html and Downloading the versions ending in 300 if you have an XG 330.

ok, so these two versions, but can you tell me the difference between SW-19.0.3_MR-3.SFW-517.sig and HW-19.0.3_MR-3.SF300-517.sig ??

i didn't find before  sophos articles witch talk about HW..or SW...when you upgrading firmware

SW is for your own supplied hardware. HW is for Sophos supplied hardware.

For the HW version,this is mainly use for Sophos Hardware while the SW is for non Sophos Hardware.

HW - Dedicated hardware's for XG/XGS model

SW - Any platform like simulators hyper V, Virtual box, vmware..etc

So why then does sophos ask us to download the firmware from sophos central when the available versions are SW! but no HW ?
