Application Filter false positive - IP whitelist

Hello,

I found a false positive in Application Filter. Eset connections are seen as Freegate Proxy connections.

I need to add an exception for some IP addresses / FQDNs. It seems that a specific area for this purpose is not implemented in SFOS. So, do I need to simply create a firewall rule on the top that exludes application control for these IPs?

Thanks

F.

  • I have a XGS that is identifying this as a false positive as well.  A Sophos RED (Work from home user) connected to another XGS is connecting to an app behind this XGS and it says Freegate Proxy.

    IE: Routing

XGS w false positive > XGS > XGS - RED - End User PC

IE: Clients behind a Sophos RED may be falsely identified.
