XG-330 with 10gbps wan and lan ports slow download

Hi there.

I'm trying to deploy this XG330 into my home network with 10G expansion card for WAN and LAN (3gbps fiber internet).

If I test through the modem I get 3.2Gbps in and out.

If I put traffic through the XG330 I get initially 700mbps then it goes up to 1.2Gbps download and then 3Gbps upload.

IPS is disabled, advance threat protection disabled, web filtering everything disabled.

any ideas why the download is slow with all the stuff disabled? The specs sheet says 38gbps firewall speed supported (2.1gbps IPS)

Thanks!

M

  • Hi,

please post the CPU and memory graphs. Also please show TOP display when downloading. Next, is the external interface setup for auto negotiate?

  • Good point, it does look like a possible duplex mismatch or something let me force it 1000/FULL and test again.

  • both ports are 10000mbps full duplex with auto-config turned off. I will check the Switch to see if it's auto or forced.

The firewall has indentified the following values based on the physical link it has detected.
    Link mode 10000 Mbps - Full-duplex
    Auto-negotiation for media type Off
    Forward Error Correction (FEC) Off
    Media type 74752-9520
    Cable vendor CISCO-MOLEX
