Hello. We have two XG330 firewall appliances that have failed in the last week. They are stuck in the failsafe mode and we can't even PuTTy into them to try and restore them. Luckily I was able to pull a back up of the configuration before they went down. We have tried everything even power cycling them but they just sit and the screen says "Sophos Protection" which I have been told means that they are in failsafe mode.
We were also told that the appliances are out of warranty and we don't have extended support for them. We do have two new appliances and I connected one today and followed the documentation that I have found but it doesn't seem to be working. I have been able to PuTTy into it. I was told that I could load the config from the old firewall and that it would work. It did pull some of the information over but it still isn't working.
I can't seen to find any detailed documentation on how the new appliance should be set up. It is the Sophos XGS3300. Has anyone had issues with the appliances being stuck in "failsafe" mode and if so were you able to get them working again? Thanks!
