Issues with VPN Connection and Firewall Port Forwarding after XGS2300 Firmware Update

Hi team,

I wanted to bring to your attention some issues we've encountered following a recent firmware update on our XGS2300 device.

After the update, we are experiencing difficulties with the VPN connection—it is not working as expected. Additionally, the firewall port seems to be non-functional in the global network, as it is not forwarding as it should.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving these issues. If you could provide a solution or guide me on the steps to rectify these problems, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

  • Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Sophos Community

Could you confirm to what recent firmware did you update your Sophos Firewall to?

Also, what VPN connection had an issue? is it a site to site or Remote access VPN? Could you also elaborate more what did not work as expected on VPN?

On port forwarding issue, have you checked if there's any drop packets on Log viewer or Packet capture? If yes could you provide us some details? (Screenshot of the drop message etc. )

Many thanks for your time and patience and thank you for choosing Sophos.
