Sophos Home License - XGS

At home, I've a Sophos XGS 116 on which I'd like to install the Sophos Home License. I already wiped the SSD completely, but unfortunately I'm not able to install the Software Image on it. Every time when I try to boot from the USB-Stick, following Error Message appears:

-----
Detected Sophos XGS Physical Device.
Please get proper installation source.
timeout: can't execute '/bin/statusled-I2C': No such file or directory
press y to reboot
-----

Does anybody know how to Install the Home License on my XGS 116?

  • Hi,

how did you wipe the SSD? There are hidden partitions which contain the hardware details. The software version of XG does not contain all the functions of the XGS series devices and you would be the first person on the forums to try a software installation on an XGS.

  • I removed the SSD and then used Windows Disk Management to delete all the partitions that were displayed.
