XGS 87 - can't install Firmware on second slot

Question

Hello, 
 I have a problem with a XGS87. I can't make an update of the Firmware - not with integrated updater and also not manual with the downloaded Firmware. I'm getting the following error: "New firmware could not be uploaded. Please refer to online help for possible reasons" 
 
 The problem is: the second slot look like its empty - see attached screenshot. How can I resolve this problem?

Thank you for reaching out to the community, may we know which file you are trying to upload? Just ensure it is HW and not SW.

Hi PCPCH , 
 first upgrade your 18.5 EAP1 build to 18.5 GA build and then upgrade it to 19.5.1 - maybe you have to upgrade 19.0 first and then to 19.5.

Hello PCPCH , As discussed even the manual patterns are failing after investigating the logs we found database errors, due to which is failing. And the versions - SFOS 18.5 GA and MR1/MR1-1/MR2/MR3 are declared end of life on 07-Dec-2022 I would request you to take the backup and re-image the appliance - https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/19.5/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/BackupAndFirmware/Firmware/FirmwareReimageXGFirewall/index.html HW-18.5.0_GA-262.iso re-image with the following version and restore the backup !
