Reports not including all traffic

Hi,

I've been copying a lot of data over SSL this weekend, and I've noticed that while the current activities window shows the traffic, and also includes the total downloaded, the reporting side of things doesn't

This is using the latest v19 MR1 365 build.

This is in the connection list, sorted by IP and clicking on the secure socket layer - it recognizes the traffic fine,

But yet in reports it shows this.

Is there something I've not configured, or is this a known "feature"

TIA

-Tim

  • Find the session, you are using, in the Logviewer, check the appID and name, it used. Maybe its not SSL protocol, instead something else.

  • This is what I'm seeing - hopefully I'm looking in the right place - all the traffic going to the dest IP is listed as being Network Protocol / Infrastructure.

  • Reports don’t include hairpin traffic which travels through the firewall.

  • That I didn't know - I was expecting there to be a total bandwith used in the report, even if it didn't recognize the traffic for that to be included as "other" maybe.

Thanks for the reply, as that does answer the question why it's not showing.

  • That is based on my experience investigating ntp traffic. I am also having difficulty identifying inter lan traffic, though that needs some serious testing. Also the traffic can be shown over a 48 hour period which is confusing.

  • I have found that as well, it can be confusing for sure.

It would be nice to look and be able to report on the total traffic from a period of time, as in my situation here, I've done 1.26TB according to the firewall rules, but yet the reports are saying just 250GB in the same period - missing over 1TB of traffic.
