Snort 3 on Sophos XG

Snort 3 has been released https://blog.snort.org/2021/01/snort-3-officially-released.html

Is there any plan to upgrade Snort on Sophos XG? the changes in terms of performace, features and security are quite important to not to be a priority.

Thank you. Hopefully they have been planning for this and internally testing for awhile since snort v3 has been in development for what appears like eternity at this point
