Gateway in Bridge mode

Am replacing and old CR50ia which is deployed in Bridge mode with a XG210 which am deploying in bridge mode as well.  I have observed with the XG when the gateway status is down all LAN traffic can not go beyond it (bearing in mind its in bridge/transparent) but with the Cyberoam regardless of the appliance gateway status traffic will still flow through it. I know some static routes might be required but is that the case of the XG gateway status needs to up for traffic flow???

  • I mean if the appliance in bridge, the gateway on the appliance whether down or up, the appliance should still send traffic to the LAN gateway. Say for example my LAN is 192.168.0.0/24, and the gateway to this LAN is 192.168.0.1/24, I put XG  between my LAN and gateway (192.168.0.1) assigning it an IP 192.168.0.2/24. If 192.168.0.1 is down shouldnt traffic still pass through from my LAN to the gateway after XG?
