Over the past few months, we've sent reminders to both partners and customers about the upcoming lifecycle milestones for XG Series hardware appliances. The information is summarized below.

Final 1-Year Renewal Deadline: March 31, 2024
Due to the End-of-Life (EOL) date on March 31, 2025, the last opportunity to order any 1-year renewal subscription for your XG or SG Series hardware running Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) is March 31, 2024.
- If the renewal is not due until after March 31, 2024, shorter terms are also available for purchase, but no subscription term can be extended beyond the EOL date.
- If you currently own a subscription that extends past the EOL date, please contact your local Sophos representative or partner to discuss your options.
Last Supported Software Version
Sophos Firewall OS v20 is the last major release that will support XG Series hardware models (v20 maintenance releases will include support).
Hardware Refresh Promotions
XG Series hardware customers in most regions can take advantage of our promotions, offering up to 99% discount on XGS hardware in combination with a minimum 3-year subscription term for Xstream Protection (country and model exclusions may apply). SG Series customers (running SFOS or Sophos UTM) have access to our attractive SG Migration promotion with additional discounts.

Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) v19.0 EOL
Per our lifecycle policy, we recently announced an end-of-life (EOL) date of April 30, 2024, for Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) major release version 19.0 (includes GA and all Maintenance Release (MR) versions).
This early announcement is intended to give customers and partners sufficient time to plan an upgrade to a newer version.
