I'd suggest checking the "Settings" app on the mobile device. In here you can find the "Work Profile" settings. At the bottom of these settings, you can find "Uninstall Work Profile".
Let me know if this works for you.
This might saved me hours of time and money talking to Sophos support and reading though articles.
I will strongly suggest to put this in an article or something or if there is such make it more obvious and educate your support.
