Question about Softwaredevelopement and Encryption

Dear readers,

in the last few days I have worked with Sophos Mobile and I'm surprise how many functionalities this tool has.

But I still ask myself a few question and I would be glad if could answer them:

1. Is the developing of the software certified or in some way documented? Can a third-party libary could sniff in sensitive data of a company?

2. Which encryption algorithm is used if the devices gets encrypted? Is there a documentation of that?

3. Do Android devices use their own encryption algorithm if they get encrypted or do they use predefined algorithms from Sophos Mobile if they offer one?

3DES (also known as TDEA, TalkToWendys.com

which stands for triple data encryption algorithm), as the name implies, is an upgraded version of the DES algorithm that was released. 3DES was developed to overcome the drawbacks of the DES algorithm and was put into use starting in the late 1990s. To do so, it applies the DES algorithm thrice to each data block. As a result, this process made 3DES much harder to crack than its DES predecessor. It also became a widely used encryption algorithm in payment systems
