PDF Attachment filtered through Sophos Email Gateway is being converted to Base64

Hi Sophos Community,

PDF email attachments sent by an external party are being converted to base64.

We only seem to be having this problem with one external sender. Incidently, we are the only partner they claim this is happening to, i.e. none of their other customers are receiving their PDF invoices as base64 in the body of the email.

Has anyone seen this before, and could the Sophos Email Gateway service - which all of our emails are filtered through - be having an affect on this?
