Sophos Central support on Arch Linux

These are the supported OS versions for Linux.

• CentOS 7 (3.10.0-1062 or later)
• CentOS Minimal
• CentOS Stream
• Debian 10
• Debian 11
• Debian 12
• Miracle Linux 8
• Oracle 7 (UEK 4.14 or later, RHCK 3.10.0-1062 or later)
• Oracle 8
• Oracle 9
• RHEL 7 (3.10.0-1062 or later)
• RHEL 8
• RHEL 9
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
• Ubuntu 18.04 (LTS) (4.15 or later)
• Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS)
• Ubuntu 22.04 (LTS)
• Ubuntu 24.04 (LTS)
• Ubuntu Minimal

Apart from this, sophos does not support other Linux OS versions.

In particular: CentOS 7, CentOS Stream 8, Debian 10, Oracle Linux 7, RHEL 7 and Ubuntu 18.04 have now been retired from support.

Other distributions may work, but problems may only be investigated/fixed if reproducible on a distribution from the supported list. In particular Sophos Protection for Linux requires systemd as the init system. Arch Linux appears to use systemd by default so that may be ok.
