To prevent research data to be cached or anything on the local drive, I wonder if mounting the drive using VeraCrypt(TrueCrypt) and opening an explorer through Sandboxie actually keeps the data from being cached on the drive (assuming the windows indexing service is stopped).
I believe I read about sandboxie copying all opened files to the sandbox - and the sandbox is a folder on the main drive.
- deleting the files from the sandboxie leaves them recoverable for undelete-software.
Am I wrong about these assumptions?
Using Sandboxie is not a viable solution in this case?
