More importantly, we love the Sandboxie community too much to do that. The Sandboxie user base represents some of the most passionate, forward thinking, and knowledgeable members of the security community and we didn’t want to let you down.
If so, why did you follow up on the new version by blocking read-only forum access from non registered or logged in users?
Since you consider going open source, doesn't this decision contradict it?
Open Source is all about free information and breaking barriers.
I'm not saying you should let unregistered users post messages, as it's not standard procedure, but why blocking them from reading?
This is even more so concerning since "Sandboxie support will become community based".
Your decision will basically remove these forums from search engines like Google!
Similarly, places like Wikipedia will refrain from linking to any posts, even if they're very meaningful.
Since you obviously don't plan to advertise the software anymore, we need every potential eyeball on it or it'll just die.
Every day new programmers and other users might hear about Sandboxie and might be interested enough to peek at its forums, but go away when a registration form hits them before they even blink.
Likewise, even users who registered but currently aren't logged in might refrain from casual visits.
Please consider changing your mind about this or at least explain your rational.
