I have been using Astaro for a couple of years no issues. I even upgraded to a newer UTM. No issues. It does lack some reporting functionality of XG but it is super stable and has no issues unless you try to run 64-bit kernel. On 32-bit it just works. Limits traffic, controls access beautiful and prevents non safe web access and searches. I tried XG more than once. Commercial box delivered to me and self installed. Both times I found the process of setting it up to be cumbersome and full of issues. Especially when I had to reset the device on loan. Eventually used my own tin and after battling for a couple of hours got it licensed. On both it proved unreliable. I would get reboots and crashes frequently to the point I permanently had a monitor on it with top running. By killing off UTM before XG is super stable you are going to make a mistake IMHO.
