Microsoft O365 exclusions should be pre-installed, and more readily available to make installing Office on endpoints functional

Hello,

I'm now aware of an exclusion import and enabling process for making Office 365 services functional, https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000038173?language=en_US&c__displayLanguage=en_US

The majority of business's use MSFT services. I think these exclusion should be pre-populated, enabled, and updated by Sophos.

  • Hi  ,

According to one of our test engineers, the few customer devices that he was able to look at seldom have those exceptions. Some do use the out-of-the-box Microsoft exceptions, which cover more than half the list. The article content is to provide troubleshooting and is not a minimum requirement. We have not made the exclusions a "default feature" in the product because we do not think that there is a necessity to exclude most of the traffic. Excluding them from inspection devalues the protection we can provide.
