message relay

Hi all 

ok this is going to be a two part thing depending on what answers i get so first can you use a sum server as a message relay server or dose it need to be two diffrent servers.

    was already a sum so iv eddited the mrinit.conf

    turning the SUM server into a relay this way worked up to SUM 1.5.1 - with 1.5.2 (and RMS 4.0) you must use the desired mrinit.conf at SUM install time. Don't despair yet :smileyhappy:

    Check your SUM's Current parent address (should point to your management server) and RMS router type by opening %ProgramData%\Sophos\Remote Management System\3\Router\NetworkReport\ReportData.xml. If the former is correct and the latter says endpoint (it hasn't converted to a message relay) then set the applicable registry keys to the values given in Enterprise Console: configuring message relay computers under Technical information. Restart the service and check ReportData.xml which hopefully now says message relay.
