as said, EXP is not available for non-R2 2008. If the customer can't or doesn't want to upgrade to at least 2008 R2 the Ransomware: Information and Prevention article has some suggestions to minimize the risk. Furthermore CryptoGuard protection from remotely run ransomware is only available on 64bit platforms.
