Changing service name and password for Enterprise Console

We are going though our typical service account change.  I have changed the services username and password for Sophos Management Host, patch endpoint communicator, patch endpoint orchestrator, and patch server communicator.  These services start up, but I cannot connect to the server using Sophos enterprise console.

I have followed these kb:

https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/113954

https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/65318

https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/112598

All of this results in the same issue.  If I change the service accounts back I have access to the Enterprise Console.  Can anyone give any guidance?

  • To change the accounts you need to re-run setup.exe.

When you installed SEC, the downloaded file unpacked the install set to C:\sec_xxx...

You should find in there setup.exe if it wasn't removed. If you re-run that you will have the option to change the passwords.

If you don't have the above files, maybe you have the SFX, if not you will have to download the same version of the SEC installer from Sophos.com.
