Unknown OS

Hello,

I have been fighting this Unknown Operating System for a few hours now.  I upgraded to SEC 4.0.0.2362.  All my old workstations are doing great.  Updating and everything.  We have a newly installed PC, with and admin account and all.  When I try to protect it I get the Account has insufficient rights or simple file sharing is on.  The account has Admin rights and Simple File Sharing is turned off.  Does anybody have any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Thanks a ton,

Troy

  • Thanks, that totally helped.  Turns out my client had created the wrong credentials.   Also, in this case, Dell had a thrid party security software paqckage that also prevented access.  The removal of the Dell Security Suit along with correcting the credentials appears to have done the trick.

    Thanks again,

    Troy
