Unable to turn off Tamper Protection for Server install of Sophos

Hi,

I've got one server for a client who is moving to a new AV product and would like Sophos to be uninstalled. We've turned off tamper protection the the Sophos Central portal, but it still says it's been enabled (and that's after leaving it for quite a while). It also won't accept the tamper protection password issued by the portal. Is there anything else we can try? Thanks.

Does the computer have C:\Program Files\Sophos\Endpoint Defense\sedcli.exe?

Have you tried running that in an admin prompt:

sedcli -tpoff [passwordfromcentral]

Hi Jak,

Thanks for the advice. It does have that executable in that path from C. However when I run it in an elevated prompt and enter either the recent password I have and one that says it's from 7 months ago it says: 'incorrect SED tamper Protection password provided'. However I have no other passwords that I can see.

Anything else I can try? Thanks.

I think the version of SED for servers that has this cli tool may still be rolling out then.
