End point security Firefox problem

Dear All,

I have deployed Sophos endpoint security in our company, we have configure web control policy to block social sites like,Facebook,you tube etc. All the sites which are define in block sites is blocked by web control policy. But when the user access the google from fix fox and  try to search you tube in google and access the you tube from there. They can access the you tube this only happen when the user access this from fire fox.

Please help me to rectify the issue.

    This is quite strange given the fact that web control works the same way in all supported browsers despite the method used for access of websites. I would expect Caching to have a role in this anomaly you witness. Kindly please clear the cache in Firefox and please re access YouTube via Google search as well to check if that helps in resolving this issue for you. Here are some additional steps to disable caching by Firefox permanently to avoid this issue.

    1. Open a new window or tab in Firefox.
    2. Type about:config in the address bar.
    3. Search for “cache” in the search bar and look for network.http.use-cache in the filtered results.
    4. Double-click it will toggle it from “true” to “false”. Default should be “true”.
