SOPHOS EDNPOINT INSTALLATION FROM CACHE SERVER FAILS TO INSTALL

I downloaded SOPHOS installer from my Sophos central account.

When I deployed on PC, it says "installation failed"

 

Pinged the network and it was functioning.

 

There is also an XG firewall connected as proxy to my network. I wouldn't know what the problem is

    Hi,

    Can you attach (drag onto the editor) the last installer log file from:
    C:\ProgramData\Sophos\CloudInstaller\Logs\

    That is the log file created after last installation attempt

    Found an answer already.

     

    It was in the fourth line from the bottom

     

    2018-03-06T11:34:04.7098535Z ERROR : WinHttpSendRequest failed with error 12002

     

    It was a proxy problem. Was able to fix this with a command on my CMD

     

    For 32bit

    Ensure your command prompt is like this

    c:\Windows\System32

    netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server="http=your proxy server: your proxy port;https=your proxy server: your proxy port"
     
    netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server="http=your proxy server: your proxy port;https=your proxy server: your proxy port
     
    64-bit:
    cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64 [press enter]
     
    netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server="http=your proxy server: your proxy port;https=your proxy server: your proxy port"
