Is it possible to do an unattended install?

I'm looking to include Sophos for some basic virus scanning on an Ubuntu box. Everything works as expected when I manually walk through the installation. All of my boxes are managed using Chef so I'd prefer to use this to install Sophos without any manual intervention.

I've tried reading through all the documentation I can find but haven't come across what I'm looking for. Is this possible? If so, how?

Cheers,

Nathan

  • Hi Douglas,

I'm trying to do --automatic command but it throws an error it says.

You must specify an installation directory on the command line for automatic installations.

    Installation aborted.

Automatic installation and no install directory specified.

    The command looks like this:

    ./install.sh --SavWebUsername=username --SavWebPassword=password --acceptlicence --automatic

The image above are the list of the commands that is available.

    Thanks,
