We have signed on for a trial of Sophos Cloud/Central and have selected a client to test with. We are experiencing issues, when attempting to automate a silent install of the "SophosInstall.exe", after creating the full/offline package, per instructions from Sophos (using IExpress on a Windows box). All attempts to deploy have failed. We use Labtech and would like to push the installs via script, to remote machines. This, as well the sample start-up/login scripts, also provided by Sophos and edited to suit our needs, have also failed. We have also tried multiple times, to manually run the full installer we've created, however that does not even run....even after rebuilding the package, several times. I am also aware that there is no MSI file, which would be great for use with Group Policy.
I am looking for any information, best practices, etc., that would help automate a silent install. I would like to fully test this product, however if we cannot find a more efficient way to deploy, this will certainly affect our purchasing decision as we have many clients that we would be pushing to.
What are you guys using for your deployments?
