No access to Sophos Central

Hi,

this morning it seems no access to the Sophos Central.

Sometime the login form appears but no way to go on...sometime the page doesn't load.

Any maintenance in progress?

Thanks.

Max.

  • I have an account in the EU region (API calls to: https://dzr-api-amzn-eu-west-1-9af7.api-upe.p.hmr.sophos.com/...) and it seems OK to me at least at this time.

If you open the Developer tools F12 (suggest Chrome) and look at the network details, any errors, anything in red for example?  It should look something like:

  • Hi Jack,

I tried from different networks (Corporate and ADS) and with different OS/browser (Windows,Linux/FF,Chrome) and always the same issue.

I'm connecting from Italy...could be a local problem in my country?

At the moment, when trying to open https://cloud.sophos.com the browser stay on blank page until time out...

    Max.

  • Everything looks OK here: http://centralstatus.sophos.com/.

What does the Chrome F12 "Network" view look like for you when you refresh the page?  Any requests sent?  Any responses at all?

Are you using the same regional API servers, E.g. "dzr-api-amzn-eu-west-1-9af7.api-upe.p.hmr.sophos.com" so "eu-west-1"?

It might be interesting to see what's going on in a network packet trace, e.g. using Wireshark.  For example.  Do you syn the 3 way handshake followed by the Client Hello, Server Hello and Certificate exchange to the Sophos APIs hosted in Amazon? E.g.

Note: I add the column "ssl.handshake.extensions_server_name" in order to pick out the server being accessed more easily in the list view.

Beyond this you may have to contact Support but this info would be helpful.

    Regards,

    Jak

  • Sorry Jak but I didn't have the time to do these tests.

For sure, on Monday morning the portal came back again up and running.

If the problem will appear again I let you know...

    Thanks,

    Max.
