Machine stuck in no client installed yet locked by Tamper protection state...

cannot install endpoint as the failed installation shows it is locked by Tamper Protection.

Machine is unprotected.

need advice ASAP as it has been at least an hour on hold getting through to phone support.....

i have disabled tamper protection via cloud

there is no sophos program installed on the PC to locally disable. it is just a ghost instance of Sophos.

Microsoft uninstall tool will not uninstall thjis either

I would ensure that the Sophosed.sys driver isn't running.
