I don't believe this means the endpoint is reaching out to this URL specifically but may be referring to something local to the device, which may be translated into the final URL the system is reaching out to.
Allow me some time to inquire internally and update you here.
Update:
"com.sophos.macendpoint.sdds3" in the logs refers to a plist entry, and not an actual URL.
The SDDS 3 URLs would be as follows.
sus.sophosupd.com
sdds3.sophosupd.com
sdds3.sophosupd.net
Are any other errors present in the logs or does this one continue to repeat? If you could run SDU log collection and provide me with the filename via Private Message, I'd be happy to take a look for you.
