issue with RDP

  • I am only able to access a Hyper-V server from the Hyper-V Manager on the physical host. When the connection is established, I can use MSTSC from my local Windows 11 machine to connect to the server and take control of the session. However, if I attempt to connect directly to the server, I can log in, but the connection is dropped.

The issue appears to be caused by the Sophos Endpoint Agent. Upon uninstalling it, the problem is resolved. I have not been able to find the appropriate configuration for Sophos to solve the issue. I have discovered that changing the firewall settings works on one server but not on another.

  • Hello Carol,

Thank you for reaching the community forum,

Have you added the recommended exclusion for Hyper-V to your threat policy? If not? Kindly refer to this documentation and add all listed exclusion lists and let us know if you're still facing the same issue,.
