I am only able to access a Hyper-V server from the Hyper-V Manager on the physical host. When the connection is established, I can use MSTSC from my local Windows 11 machine to connect to the server and take control of the session. However, if I attempt to connect directly to the server, I can log in, but the connection is dropped.
The issue appears to be caused by the Sophos Endpoint Agent. Upon uninstalling it, the problem is resolved. I have not been able to find the appropriate configuration for Sophos to solve the issue. I have discovered that changing the firewall settings works on one server but not on another.
Hello Carol,Thank you for reaching the community forum,Have you added the recommended exclusion for Hyper-V to your threat policy? If not? Kindly refer to this documentation and add all listed exclusion lists and let us know if you're still facing the same issue,.
How any cores does the server you are connecting to have? I assume it has one CPU assigned. Try giving it 2 and retry.
