Base Policy - Peripheral Control - no Instance ID for iPhones

There is an issue with missing instance ID of mobile phones in Sophos, which makes impossible to effectively manage them.

I see windows is finding instance ID of apple iPhone correctly:

 

I think there could ba a problem with string which contains “&” in instance ID. And such can be found in MTP devices. As far as I investigated multiple USB devices, those which contains “&” in instance ID, aren’t working.

I found only one mobile which Instance ID doesn’t include “&” – and guess what – it works Blush.

Allowing device model on particular machines will also allow other iPhones to connect to those machines - it’s unacceptable.

    Thank you for reaching us. To further investigate this issue that you're currently facing. Can you please replicate the issue that you're currently facing then collect Procmon logs and SDU on the system where you try to test this policy. Once collected, raise a support ID with us through our support portal and share the case via DM.
