Intercept X with HP Thin Clients and UWF (Unified Write Filter)

I am working on a roll out of Sophos Intercept X and currently I'm trying to figure out using Intercept X on HP Thin Client PCs. These machines are all using the UWF capability to protect the SSD drive. I've found a few older posts that pointed at lists of files, folders and keys that are important for other Sophos products but the KB articles referenced all talk about the products being discontinued so they dont feel like the right place to be looking.

Has anyone successfully rolled out Sophos in an environment with write protected thin clients? Could you share your write filter exceptions that worked in your environment? Any suggestions/lessons learned that you could share as well?

I saw those, but they all refer to products other than Intercept X. Are these individual products all part of Intercept X? If so, why isnt there a single KB article for Intercept X as a whole to make this less confusing. The community posts also seem to suggest that Sophos doesnt support/function properly on systems with UWF enabled.

Thats why I would love to hear from customers that are actually using Intercept X on these types of systems currently ... I am hoping they could share their real life experience with getting it to work. Roughly 40% of my intended install base is thin client PCs so getting this sorted out is important.

Hi Matthew Laski,

There isn't one consolidated article containing all the significant files. Still, the following articles are also relevant for Intercept X: Sophos Endpoint Defense: Relevant files, folder and registry entries, and Sophos Endpoint: What are the significant Anti-Virus files and registry entries?.

You can try excluding these files and see if it helps while we wait for other community users' feedback.
