Device Encryption prompt after removing license

I am getting the "Sophos Device Encryption has been set up to protect your computer" constantly on a computer even though I have removed the Device Encryption license for this computer in Central. 

How to I get the client to stop trying to encrypt?

    You have to uninstall it. Go into your console, go to Protect Devices, and download the installer but choose only the Endpoint protection elements (have Device Encryption uncheck) then run it on the machine. This will remove Device Encryption.
