I need to block a certain file from out Computers. It is an exe file. Cannot find any settings in Central admin to do so. Just the opposite, meaning allowing files, seems to be possible. Any ideas?
We cannot block specific file type extensions such as mp3 or avi, however, it is possible to block certain applications using Sophos Application control. You would use Application control to prevent users from running applications that are not a security threat, but that you decide are unsuitable for use in your workplace environment. Kindly refer to this article to block/allow certain applications by applying the application control policy in Sophos Central.
