Yes, you’re right It will remove the existing endpoint on the client when you perform re-imaging of those machines. However, it would be best if you can also access the central dashboard where those clients are currently being managed in order for you to remove them as well on the dashboard for those newly re-image machines to be registered as fresh once.

To clarify, the history and events won't be automatically removed from Sophos Central if you are using that. You would have to delete the old machine instance.
