I run IT for a business with 15 sites, all sites have Sophos XG firewalls but I’m having serious issues at one of the sites where the endpoints aren’t getting Sophos updates and the error message in central is (Download of WindowsCloudNextGen failed from server http:∕∕dci.sophosupd.com.)
my first thoughts where web protection or IPS was the cause so checked the logs (and traffic to the url was green and allowed and i even managed to download a file from it in a browser on an affected end point), and i turned off IPS and all web policies and still no luck.
I upgraded the XG form 18.0.1 to 18.0.2 thinking it may be a bug, but no luck (XG 210 FYI)
As soon as one of the end points are on another network (even if its another one of my sites with an XG they update no problem) but not at this location.
I’ve gone through the logs and FW rules to spot any abnormalities but can’t for the life of me find anything that solves the issue.
Can anyone advise? I’m at a loss here now!
