Hello All,

With EDRv4 and our new XDR offering having become generally available in mid-May, Sophos will now begin the wind down of the XDR & EDR Data Lake Early Access Programs.  At this point we will not be introducing any new functionality to EAP participants.  As of today (June 4th) we will no longer allow new customers to enroll into the XDR & EDR Data Lake Endpoint and Server early access programs.  Customers currently enrolled into those EAPs will no longer be able to assign new devices into the EAPs.  Devices enrolled into the early access programs will send data to the Sophos Data Lake regardless of how the new ‘Upload to the Data Lake’ endpoint and server Global Settings are configured.  Also a reminder that EDR and XDR customers looking to query the Sophos Data Lake must enable the ‘Upload to the Data Lake’ endpoint/server Global Settings as seen below.  Devices to exclude from sending data to the Data Lake can also be configured on these pages:

The XDR & EDR Data Lake Endpoint and Server Early Access programs will close entirely over the coming weeks and at that point enrolled devices will revert to their recommended software version.

How can I test out the new EDRv4 and XDR capabilities?

New customers who start a new Central trial will receive a license which gives 30 day access to the Sophos Data Lake and will be licensed to send all cross product data into the Sophos Data Lake. If looking to start a new Central trial, click here

Existing Central customers can start an in-product trial by clicking the 'Free Trials' link in the bottom of the Left Hand navigation menu in Sophos Central:

  • Non EDR customers looking to try out EDR can start an Intercept X Advanced with EDR Endpoint and/or Server trial.
  • EDR customers looking to test out XDR capabilities can start an XDR trial.
