Sophos Scan & Clean And HitmanPro Feature Requests

Hello,

I have some feature requests for Sophos Scan & Clean that it is currently missing that HitmanPro has, and a few features that neither has.

  1. Please add a scan on startup option for Sophos Scan & Clean, like HitmanPro has.

  1. Please add a context menu scan option for Sophos Scan & Clean, so that we can right-click and scan specific folders & files like HitmanPro can.

Screenshot of these two options in HitmanPro: photos.app.goo.gl/fHf3jpPRSke61UEi9

  1. Add a custom scan option within Sophos Scan & Clean and HitmanPro where we can select which folders & files we want to scan, like most antimalware programs can.

  1. Make Sophos Scan & Clean and HitmanPro scan all folders & files within a folder within a folder et cetera instead of just scanning one or two or three levels deep of folders / files within folders.

As it is now, some files & folders will be skipped completely if they are one or two or three levels deep (it might be two levels deep) within folders within folders, which is not good.

Because various programs arrange folders & files several levels deep where both programs would skip scanning some of those folders & files; and malware could use this flaw to its advantage to bypass detection by both programs by simply putting the malware several levels deep within folders within folders.

Thank you,

— John Jr

  • Hello John.

Thank you for reaching community forum. We're glad to see about this request to help us improve our product to suit our customer's day-to-day usage well. To proceed with this feature request, I ask your assistance in raising this directly to your account manager as the process of performing feature requests has changed. You may refer to this documentation about this process change.

  • Hello GlennSen,

    Thank you for responding.

So who is my account manager, and how can we get these feature requests to them?

I have tried contacting Sophos through Twitter, Sophos Home, Sophos Forums (which I had to create a new account for because for some reason Sophos Home Free accounts are separate), HitmanPro email, Sophos email, et cetera; and I keep getting redirected to a different place each time because everything Sophos seems to be super separated oddly like everything is owned by a different company; I have never seen a company so divided / separated when using support in my life.

Normally you can use one form, email, forums, account, et cetera and your feedback gets directly to the correct department without having to jump around like every thing is from a different company.

    Thank you.

  • Hello John,

Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression that you're using enterprise manage endpoint. please be aware that our Sophos home endpoint and enterprise endpoint have huge deference not just by the feature available on it but also support. Sophos home users don't have an account manager. Though you can still raise this request through our Sophos Home portal
