ReUse of an encrypted HDD with Safeguard Easy, Formatting Program?

I'd like to reuse an encrypted harddisk for use in the same PC.

I don't need any data from the harddisk. I only want to use the PC with a new operating system.

  • I tried to recover an Acronis .tib image, didn' t work. 
  • I tried to format it with another PC with Windows 7 program (connect HD via USB cradle), didn't work.
  • I tried to install Windows 7 from installation DVD, didn't work.
  • Formatting with Acronis (backup and recover or true image home 11) didn't work.

Does anyone knows a program or procedure that I can use the harddisk anymore? Or means encryption the loss of hardware?

    Hello Monika,

    can't see what should prevent formatting of the entire disk (as opposed to a partition) - but then, I haven't done it. Could you be more specific about the didn't work, e.g. the error message(s) you've got?
