Safeguard Logon: Invalid response code!

Hello,

This story starts with two users, one of them new to the company. The user #1 is a new starter and was given a new laptop that accidently (don't ask) was given the same name as the laptop belonging to user #2. User #1 is experiencing no issues. But not user #2 is faced with an error at their Sophos Safeguard logon:

Workstation is locked! Perform Challenge/Response to unlock

After performing Challenge/Response however, receiving a second error message:

Safeguard Logon: Invalid response code!

How can I unlock this workstation?

Dear customer,
I would like to sugest to use our KBA https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/117256.aspx and check if there are some other options available for you.
If you still not be able to login you can follow this KBA https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/108156.aspx to try to get access to the required data again,
